University of Alberta Recognizes NCSO Training
“The Alberta Construction Safety Association recognizes the value the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Certificate provides to the construction safety officers seeking to further develop their skills and knowledge in the area of occupational health and safety”. In cooperation with ACSA who share, believe and encourage the philosophy of continuing professional development, the University of Alberta is pleased to honor individuals possessing the NCSO Designation towards 21 hours of “enrichment seminar” credit in the OH&S Certificate Program.

Public Comment wanted on 2007/2008 Draft of OHS Code

The 2007/2008 draft recommendations for changes to the OHS Code are now posted for public comment on the WHS website at http://employment.alberta.ca/cps/rde/xchg/hre/hs.xsl/2114.html.  These draft recommendations are the result of an industry/labour/government Working Group review of stakeholder-submitted suggestions.  Comments will be accepted until June 30, 2008.

This new course is titled "Loss Prevention & Control for Executives" and is specifically designed to assist executives and companies in meeting their "due diligence" requirements. 


TDG Regs Change

ATTENTION! Changes made to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations came in effect on February 20, 2008. Changes brought forward in Amendment No. 6 will impact 12 of the 16 Parts of the TDG Regulations as well as its three Schedules.
