The Edmonton Regional Safety Committee is a vibrant committee. We are comprised of representatives from construction, trades associations, worker members, Worker’s Compensation Board, Alberta Workplace Health and Safety, Alberta Transportation, etc. We share the vision of the Alberta Construction Safety Association to promote health and safety in the region.
The Edmonton Regional Safety Committee makes a difference. We give members the chance to share safety related concerns, provide access to training and reduce incident costs. We are a dedicated group of professionals who promote health and safety and participate in health and safety activities in the region. With an attendance of 25-35 members, accepting new members on a continual base, our five annual meetings are extremely productive.
We have organized four sub committees.
Education: The Education Committee deals with Occupational Health and Safety, NOASH Week, Skills Canada and Student Education.
Promotional Video Committee works closely with the producers of our annual videos, where as our;
Promotional Posters Committee works directly with our design specialist in ensuring that our posters continue to guide everyone when it comes to health and safety.
While our Day of Mourning Committee is working on organizing activities to remember the lives of those were fatally injured on the job.
