4005 Back Injury Prevention Program (1 day)

Description: This one-day course has been designed for employers, managers, and supervisors who are considering implementation of a Back Injury Prevention Program for their organization.

Course Objectives:

To inform employers, managers and supervisors of the importance of preventing low back disability

To enlighten employers, managers, and supervisors of their role in controlling and preventing low back disability

To address back injury prevention issues faced by the construction industry

To provide the necessary tools to control these risks at the work site

Course Content:

Injury prevention strategies

Back Care

Human factors associated with work

Hazard identification and control

How to implement back injury prevention strategies within an existing health and safety program

Information on developing modified/light duty work programs

This course explains why a broad approach is necessary for the control of low back disability.

Take care of your back through proper lifting techniques and warm-up exercises.
