2300 Alberta Occupational Health & Safety Legislation Awareness (1 day)

Description:

This one-day course has been designed for owners, employers, managers, supervisors, and workers who want to know about the Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation and how it applies to them.  It is a highly interactive course that includes lecture, group facilitation, discussions, sectional quizzes and workshops.

Course Training Objectives:

  • To inform participants of their legislated responsibilities
  • To review pertinent Alberta Occupational Health & Safety legislation (Act, Regulation and Code) as it applies to the various industries
  • To assist in meeting Due Diligence requirements by being compliant to the legislation at the work site

By the end of the day, you will:

  • Be aware of your legal responsibilities
  • Understand the relevance of each component of the Occupational Health & Safety Legislation (Act, Regulation and Code)
  • Be able to locate and apply the requirements set out in the legislation at your work site
  • Have the knowledge to assist in meeting legislated requirements for the work site

This course teaches owners, employers, managers, supervisors and workers their legislated responsibilities and how to understand and comply with the legislation.


This course provides the participant with the general knowledge of how to locate and apply applicable sections of the legislation to the work site.
