5002 Safety Culture-A Road Map to Zero (1 day)

Description:

This one-day course, focused at owners, managers, supervisors, and workers, is intended to help organizations reduce incidents and their related costs.

Course Objectives:

  • To inform owners, managers, supervisors, and workers of the importance of an organization developing a positive safety culture
  • To educate the participants on their accountability and responsibility towards safety
  • To explain the benefits associated with implementing a health and safety program

  • Financial impact of incidents on an organization
  • WCB, Partnerships and the Certificate of Recognition (COR)™ Program
  • Legal implications and accountability

The need to recognize and investigate

  • Observation and recognition techniques
  • Identify unsafe acts and/or unsafe conditions
  • Symptoms versus Causes
  • Investigation process
  • Implementing corrective actions

The need to educate and motivate

  • Elements of safety behaviour
  • Making a training plan

This program is a highly interactive workshop.  Great for organizations wishing to educate their employees in the importance of having safety culture grow from within. It is also an excellent basis for explaining the benefits of a health and safety program.
