4010 Small Employer Health and Safety Management Course (1 day)

Description: This one-day course has been developed to provide the small business employers the knowledge to develop and maintain a simple, cost effective Health and Safety Management System. A small business is defined as a business with no more than nine field employees, including the owner.

Course Objectives

  • To provide knowledge and guidance to develop a basic and cost effective Health and Safety Managment Program
  • To explain system elements
  • To assist the employer in meeting Small Business Certificate of Recognition requirements
    By the end of this one-day course, the participants should know:

  • The background and reasons for developing a Health & Safety Program
  • The basic elements of a Health and Safety Program
  • The requirements for maintaining the Small Business Certificate of Recognition
  • How to revise and update the Health and Safety Manual
  • How to maintain the organizations/company's Health and Safety Program
  • Basic Health and Safety Terminology
  • What ACSA resources are available to them
    This program is requirement for the Small Business Certificate of Recognition (SBCOR) program.
