Description: This one-day awareness course is designed for employers, managers, and supervisors who are considering the implementation of a substance abuse prevention program in their organization.

Course Objectives:

To inform employers, managers, and supervisors how substance abuse affects the construction industry

To explain the benefits of taking action on substance abuse

To provide an overview of alcohol and drug abuse among working Canadians

To discuss how alcohol and drugs affect safety

To teach the steps required in developing a substance abuse program

Developing the program
